Ss. Kim et al., UNIVERSAL CURVE FOR THE SHADOWING CRITICAL ANGLE IN COAXIAL IMPACT COLLISION ION-SCATTERING, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 26(5), 1993, pp. 485-491
A Monte-Carlo simulation program using the Ziegler-Biersack-Littmark (
Z-B-L) potential and the two-atom scattering model has been developed
to calculate the angular distribution of backscattered ions in Coaxial
Impact Collision Ion Scattering Spectroscopy (CAICISS). The universal
relationship between the critical angle (alpha(c)) and the effective
width at half-maximum intensity can be used effectively to determine t
he exact alpha(c) from the experimental results. This universal relati
onship is discussed in comparision with some experimental results.
