Abstract
The BCS-Eliasberg-McMillan formulation of metallic superconductors has been extended to the binary alloys of metallic superconductors and ha s been applied for the prediction of the transition temperature T(c), isotope effect exponent alpha and interaction strength N0 V of In1-cBc ie In-based alloys of seven superconductors (B), at different values of c. The results obtained show a good agreement with the experimental data available in literature. The various forms of the prefactor in M cMillan's T(c) formula, available in literature have also been examine d for the In-based alloys of three superconductors. It is concluded th at the prefactor theta(D)/1.45 yields the best results.
