Gk. Rangarajan et Rg. Rastogi, LONGITUDINAL DIFFERENCE IN MAGNETIC-FIELD VARIATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH QUIET DAY COUNTER ELECTROJET, Journal of Geomagnetism and Geoelectricity, 45(8), 1993, pp. 649-656
Significant features of a rare sequence of noon-time counter electroje
t events in the Indian sector are analysed. They are compared with rec
ords from nearby electrojet stations in the east and west to show the
limited longitudinal extent of the noon-time CEJ. It is also shown tha
t quiet-time CEJ is not altogether controlled by lunar tidal oscillati
ons.
