Abstract
Equilibrium sorption of copper and related heavy metal cations by dye- coated moss, Calymperes delessertii, Besch. was investigated under var ious conditions. Parameters studied include contact time, different in itial concentrations, pH, presence of chelators and other metal cation s. Results showed that modification through dye-coating improved the s orption capacity of the moss. The application of such a system to elec troplating waste is discussed.
