Abstract
The successive reactions of some cyclic ketones with aryl methyl keton es mediated by tetrachlorosilane-ethanol, provide an attractive and co nvenient route to branched functionalized benzenoid compounds. Selecti ve unsymmetrical branched triarylbenzenes have synthesized by inducing the reaction of ketones with dypnones in quantitative yields. (C) 199 7, Elsevier Science Ltd.
