Abstract
The slag model, developed at IRSID, provides an accurate description o f the properties (phase diagrams and component activities) of complex iron- and steelmaking slags over wide ranges of temperature and compos ition. It has been inserted in various multiphase equilibrium calculat ion programs for the description and monitoring of metal-gas-slag trea tments and for the control of oxide and sulphide inclusions in steel.
