Abstract
The experimental data of the heat deposition inside iron and copper ta rgets has been compared with results obtained by Monte Carlo simulatio n of three-dimensional hadron-electromagnetic cascades. The experiment al parameters of the heat deposition for some materials bombarded by 0 .8, 1.0 and 1.2 GeV protons has been compared with theoretical proposa ls.
