Op. Gavrishchuk et al., ENERGY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CENTRAL PART OF THE AK-600 HADRON SAMPLING CALORIMETER, Instruments and experimental techniques, 36(3), 1993, pp. 356-359
The energy characteristics of a hadron sampling calorimeter with 75 x
75-mm cells are presented. The sampling calorimeter is the central par
t of the AK-600 calorimeter at the Tagged Neutrino Experiment. Measure
ments for a set of 36 units were performed with pi--meson and electron
beams with energies of 40 and 26.6 GeV, respectively. The response an
d the energy resolution as functions of the beam impact point coordina
te were studied. The energy resolution was obtained as a function of t
he energy: sigma(E)/E = 0.03 + 0.56/square-root E. The electron to had
ron energy output ratio of the calorimeter is e/h = 1.14.
