REDUCTION OF SOIL-PLANT TRANSFER-FACTORS - MECHANICAL ASPECTS

In order to reduce food-chain contamination after a nuclear accident, mechanical actions may be taken to remove the radionuclides, or to pre vent their uptake. Some of these actions have been reviewed by a worki ng group in the REACT workshop. The conclusions of the group are brief ly reviewed using tables to summarise available methods.
