Abstract
The title compound 2 was prepared from C22-aldehyde 3 in 51% overall y ield. The key feature of this synthesis is a one-pot construction of t he requisite side chain using alpha-lithiomethylenetriphenylphosphoran e 4 and commercially available (S)-2-methylglycidol.
