Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed carbonylation of allyl diethyl phosphate in the pr esence of imines under CO pressure (30 Kgcm-2) gave highly stereoselec tively either cis- or trans-3-vinyl-beta-lactam compounds, depending o n the nature of the imines employed, in high yields.
