Y. Amit et al., STANDARDS OF SKINFOLD THICKNESS AND ANTHROPOMETRIC INDEXES IN TERM ISRAELI NEWBORN-INFANTS, Israel journal of medical sciences, 29(10), 1993, pp. 632-635
Anthropometric measurements including weight, length, head and mid-arm
circumferences, skinfold thickness (biceps, triceps, subscapular, abd
ominal, suprailiac and quadriceps) were obtained from 250 singleton, f
ull-term infants within 4 h of birth. Anthropometric indices for total
body fat stores such as arm fat and nonfat areas, adiposity and ponde
ral indices, and weight/length ratio were calculated. These data may b
e helpful in determining nutritional status at birth and assessing pos
tnatal growth of Israeli infants.
