The reaction of methylaluminoxane (MAO) with 1,6-hexanediol or 1,10-de
canediol leads to white powdery materials which were studied by C-13 a
nd Al-27 MAS NMR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and whose surfac
e area and porosity was determined according to the BET method. The hy
drolysis of trimethylaluminum with hydrogel was carried out and the pr
