SOME ASPECTS ON THE EVALUATION OF NEW PROCESSES OF CHEMICAL PULPING

A great number of proposals exists to modify or substitute entirely de lignification sulphur and chlor-containing agents. However, if the pro posals are evaluated from the view point of the quality of innovated t echnology and that of the products obtained, in most cases on cannot e xpect a presupposed progress. The up-to-date technologies should be ev aluated with regards to the fulfilment of technological principles, su ch as : the maximum raw-materials and energy utilization, the driving force principle, and mainly the ecological aspect of progressive techn ology. The methods for a more responsible approach to judging the adva ntages of the new chemical-pulp-production procedures are still missin g. Parameters of defibration and the selectivity of the delignificatio n for kraft, sulphite and solvolytic process are compared.
