Abstract
Ionization and proportional counters filled with gaseous CF4 in a wide range of pressures and an ionization counter filled with a liquid CF4 + Ar mixture were studied. Freon was purified from electronegative im purities to a level of < 10(-8) rel. vol. fr. equiv. O-2.
