Abstract
Dependences of the Light output on the radiation dose up to 1 Mrad wer e measured for a polystyrene scintillator containing 1.5% pTP and 0.05 % POPOP additives, excited with an ultraviolet laser and a radioactive source. It was shown that the emission properties of the scintillator s are independent of the type of excitation. It makes possible the use of an ultraviolet laser to calibrate the elements of the scintillatio n calorimeter.
