Abstract
The experimental results on the breakdown strength of a microchannel p late for pulses with a duration of less than or equal to 100 ns are pr esented. The breakdown strength is similar or equal to 2.6 MV/m for a pulse duration of 30 ns and increases with decreasing pulse duration.
