Complexes of composition M(NH3)2[Ag(CN)2]2, where M = Ni (NiA), Cu (Cu
A), Cd (CdA), have been prepared and identified by infrared and electr
on spectroscopy and by magnetic susceptibility measurements. Thermal s
tability and stoichiometry of thermal decomposition were investigated
by using a derivatograph. The intermediates of thermal decomposition w
ere identified by IR spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction. The re
sults showed that the thermal stability increased in the order CuA, Cd
A, NiA.
