Abstract
Mesoscopic defects in the bulk of a terrestrially grown mercuric iodid e crystal, e.g. dislocations related to the growth process (in grown a nd/or produced by thermomechanical stresses), have been characterized by synchrotron radiation X-ray topography in transmission through lame llae thinned down to 0.1 mm.
