Abstract
A study on collimators and filters for the design of a spectrometer fo r prompt gamma neutron activation analysis (PGNAA) at one of the radia l beamports of the TRIGA Mark II reactor at AERE, Savar has been carri ed out. On the basis of this study a collimator and a filter have been designed for the proposed PGNAA facility. Calculations have been done for measuring neutron flux at various positions of the core of the re actor using the computer code TRIGAP. Gamma dose in the core of the re actor has also been measured experimentally using TLD technique in the present work.
