Abstract
A powerful compact laser based on XeCl and KrF* molecules has been de signed and tested. For radiation pulse duration of about 300 ns, radia tion energies of 110 and 90 J have been obtained at lambda = 308 and 2 49 nm, respectively. When the electron beam is injected from four side s and the mixture pressure is from 1 to 3 atm, a uniform distribution of the radiation energy density over the output beam cross section is achieved.
