Abstract
A laser system consisting of a powerful narrow-band dye laser and a Jo ule XeCl laser (lambda = 308 nm) is described. The output characterist ics are rather high. The tuning range is 330 - 800 nm. The efficiency is up to 19 % for 75 mJ radiation energy, 0.01 nm linewidth, 1 - 2 mra d divergence, and operation potentiality of the dye laser active mediu m of 10(7) pulses. The repetition rate is 1 - 5 Hz.
