The transformations in Ti-Nb-H system containing up to 30 at.% Nb and
25 at.% H were studied by methods of X-ray, transmission electronic mi
croscopy and thermal analysis. It was found that introduction of hydro
en contributes to displacement of existence borders with different ph
ase composition to the smaller contents of niobium and eliminated the
fields with omega-phase. It was shown that the complex hydride (TiNb)H
-alpha having the BCT-lattice and forming as per the eutectoid mechani
sm can be formed in the system. The metastable diagram was made of pha
