Abstract
The semi-empirical model developed by Miedema et al. (Journal of Physi cs F., 1973, 3, 1558) has been used in the case of pseudo-binary alloy s ZrCr2(1-x) M(2x) where M=3d metal or Mo. The stability of these allo ys has been computed and then compared to the experimental diagram of the existence of the crystal structures C14 and C15. In the second par t, the model has been applied to the corresponding hydrides. The impac t of the nature and the stoichiometry of the substituted element M has been analysed.
