Abstract
We study the exclusive (gamma, pi- p) reaction in the framework of the delta-hole approach and compare our results to MIT-Bates data for O-1 6 at 360 MeV. The data at backward pion angle are in good agreement wi th theory but the data at forward pion angle cannot be explained. The discrepancy persists even if proton-knockout induced by a direct delta -nucleon interaction is included.
