Abstract
In this paper the Transmission Line Matrix (TLM) Method is derived fro m Maxwell's equations by finite integration. It is shown that six of t he twelve TLM equations may be derived directly by discretizing Maxwel l's equations. The other six TLM equations are obtained from a subset of the spatial derivatives of Maxwell's equations.
