Abstract
In this paper the propagation in a waveguide consisting of a number of conductors embedded in a lossy bianisotropic medium is investigated a t low frequencies in the quasi-TEM regime. It is carefully shown that in this quasi-TEM regime Maxwell's equations reduce to a coupled set o f generalised transmission lines describing the propagation of voltage and current wages along the conductors. In the second part of this pa per some properties for these generalised transmission lines are discu ssed when the bianisotropic materials are reciprocal or lossless.
