Abstract
A baby boy with constitutional aplastic anemia refractory to treatment with hematopoietic growth factors underwent BMT from an unrelated HLA -compatible donor. The BM failed to engraft but the combination of a c onditioning regimen, immunosuppression and hematopoietic growth factor s resulted in a recovery of the patient's own BM and a good outcome.
