D. Philip et P. Chandra, EFFECTS OF HETEROGENEOUS AND HOMOGENEOUS REACTIONS ON THE DISPERSION OF A SOLUTE IN SIMPLE MICROFLUID, Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, 24(9), 1993, pp. 551-561
In this paper the dispersion of a solute matter in a simple microfluid
flow through a channel has been discussed. The effects of homogeneous
and heterogeneous reaction rates have been considered in the analysis
using Taylor's limiting condition and the effects of various paramete
rs on the equivalent dispersion coefficient have been studied. It is o
bserved that for a given simple microfluid the combined effect of homo
geneous and heterogeneous chemical reaction is to decrease the equival
ent dispersion coefficient.
