S. Li et Sm. Shahidehpour, AN OBJECT-ORIENTED POWER-SYSTEM GRAPHICS PACKAGE FOR PERSONAL-COMPUTER ENVIRONMENT, IEEE transactions on power systems, 8(3), 1993, pp. 1054-1060
Power system graphics package (PSGP) is developed and presented in thi
s paper. This new package runs on a personal computer along with Micro
soft Windows and ToolBook software packages. The chief advantage of PS
GP is featured by its capability to combine texts and graphics into on
e package for power system analysis, design and education. PSGP contai
ns extensive color graphics representations of power systems, interfac
e with external power system simulation programs, dynamic display of t
he simulation results and communication among external and internal da
ta bases. In addition, a PSGP user can edit large blocks of informatio
n using basic commands such as cut, copy, paste and clear. PSGP applic
ations in power systems are illustrated by a few examples in this pape
r. The minimum system requirements, as well as the PSGP implementation
and its specific features are discussed.
