Feline lungworm, Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, is a cosmopolitan infecti
on often undiagnosed. It is geneally observed as vague symptomes, asso
ciated with coughing and dyspnoea. Diagnosis depends on the complement
ary examination of the faeces and a thoracic radiograph. The use of mo
dern benzimidazoles gives the most effective form of treatment for thi
s type of infection.
