The author presents the general properties of antihelminthic drugs. Sh
e then describes for some of the molecules available on the market the
ir pharmacological relevance. When data is available, she highlights t
heir toxicity and the factors which enhance their action. The role of
the ''Centres Anti-poison veterinaires'' (C.N.I.T.V. or Veterinary cen
tres against poisoning) is described. These Centres will be eventually
replaced by an official office of Pharmacovigilance.
