Abstract
Vertical profiles of positive and negative ionic conductivities measur ed by using a balloon-borne Langmuir probe payload launched from Hyder abad on 22 Apr. 1989 are presented. The measurements were free from ve ry large gondola charging reported for several earlier flights from Hy derabad. The results obtained indicate a close agreement with the mode l based on cosmic ray ionization.
