Abstract
One new steriod, disformone, and one new triterpenoid, dischidiol, tog ether with salicylic acid, friedelin, friedelinol, beta-amyrin acetate , glutinone. taraxerol, kaempferol, quercetin, isorhamnetin and sitost eryl-3-O-beta-glucopyranoside were isolated from the whole herb of Dis ehidia formosana. The structures of the two new compounds, disformone and dischidiol (which has a novel triterpene skeleton) were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and X-ray analysis.
