Abstract
Modifications to a light scattering apparatus to permit study of liqui d surface fluctuations of significantly higher wave number than hither to are described. Various problems associated with the modified system are discussed. Typical results are presented for capillary wave propa gation on the surface of two different fluids, demonstrating the satis factory functioning of the spectrometer despite these problems.
