Abstract
I shall recall a number of solutions to the Schwinger model. in differ ent gauges, having different boundary conditions and using different q uantization surfaces. I shall discuss various properties of these solu tions emphasizing the degrees of freedom necessary to represent the so lution, the way the operator products are defined and the effects thes e features have on the chiral condensate.
