Abstract
Continuous frequency tuning of a transversely excited CO2 laser was ac hieved for the 10-mu m R branch with conventional gas mixtures at pres sures as low as 5 atm. Tuning and spectral characteristics analyzed as a function of pressure are presented together with output energy char acteristics.
