Abstract
C-13 MAS NMR spectra of tropolone included in alpha- and beta-cyclodex trins are observed at various temperatures in order to study tautomeri c proton transfer. The activation energy for tautomeric proton transfe r is <39 and 50.5 kJ/mol for tropolone in alpha- and beta-cyclodextrin s, respectively. Kinetic solid-state effects on the tautomeric proton transfer in tropolone are examined.
