Abstract
Anxiety disorders often take second priority in clinical practice beca use many physicians do not understand them or their treatment. This pa per reviews the diagnostic groupings of anxiety disorders according to the American Psychiatric Association's Revised Diagnostic and Statist ical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 3-R) and discusses differential d iagnosis and treatment.
