P. Grammatico et al., DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC VALUE OF CYTOGENETIC STUDY IN LYMPHOMATOID CONTACT-DERMATITIS VERSUS CUTANEOUS T-CELL LYMPHOMA, Journal of experimental & clinical cancer research, 12(3), 1993, pp. 179-184
We report a case of lymphomatoid contact dermatitis with constitutiona
l karyotype: 46, XY, inv(7) (p15q35). This chromosomal rearrangement i
nvolves the regions where the genes codifying for the beta (7p15) and
gamma (7q35) chains of the T-cell receptors are located. The importanc
e of cytogenetics, and in particular of the breakpoint analysis, in or
der to obtain some data useful for an early diagnosis of the T-cell tu
mors, is stressed.
