The kinetics of ring formation in the process of irreversible linear p
olycondensation is studied with the numerical solution of the system o
f kinetic equations. The influence of the relative rate constants on t
he character of molecular mass distribution of ring products is analyz
ed. In almost all cases, the molecular mass distribution is considerab
ly wider than the equilibrium distribution.
