Ks. Toidorova et al., FRACTOGRAPHIC AND AUGER-ELECTRONIC INVESTIGATION OF THE FRACTURING MECHANISM OF THE R6M5 STEEL, Metal science and heat treatment, 35(3-4), 1993, pp. 213-218
The fracture mechanism of the R6M5 steel with different strengths is s
tudied as a function of the quenching temperature (1180-1260-degrees-C
). The melt with the normal strength is distinguished by the acrystall
ine fracture mechanism over the entire temperature range and, for low
strength materials, by the grain-boundary mechanism of fracture above
a certain temperature.
