M. Rathore et al., SYNTHESIS OF ARYL DICHLOROPHOSPHATES USING PHASE-TRANSFER CATALYSTS, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. B: organic chemistry, including medical chemistry, 32(10), 1993, pp. 1066-1067
Synthesis of aryl dichlorophosphates has been carried out using phase
transfer method. Two strategies, one involving solid-liquid and the ot
her liquid-liquid phase transfer catalysts, have been used to synthesi
ze phenyl, p-nitrophenyl and o-chlorophenyl phosphoro-dichloridates. I
n either case, the phenoxide ions are carried from the solid or aq. ph
ase with the help of a phase transfer catalyst into the organic phase
where the reaction with phosphoryl chloride occurs efficiently. A poss
ible mechanism has been proposed.
