FIELD-TEST ON A FUEL-CELL ENERGY SYSTEM FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT

At two telephone offices in Japan, we are field testing a fuel cell en ergy system in which electric and heat energy is fed to the telecommun ications equipment and air conditioning system. The test is expected t o confirm the usefulness of the interface between the fuel cell energy system and telecommunications power feeding, air-conditioning system and demonstrate for the reliability, maintenance and operation of the fuel cell system. This paper explains the background and the system co nfiguration, and it presents the interim findings of the field test.
