Abstract
The kidney is capable of transmitting information from sensory neurons
to the central nervous system. Prostaglandins and substance P contrib
ute to the activation of renal sensory neurons produced by increases i
n renal pelvic pressure that lead to a reflex increase in contralatera
l urine output.
