COMPARATIVE-ANALYSIS OF THE POLLEN-SPORE SPECTRA OF 6 CENTERS OF THE COASTAL BELT OF KERALA

This study is aimed at an analysis of the incidence of airborne microf lora in the representative localities of the coastal belt of Kerala ba sed on gravity slide method. The different types of pollen grains obse rved were more than the fungal spore types. But the number of the fung al spore types commoner to all the centres were more than the commoner pollen types observed. Results showed that though the concentration o f pollen grains in coastal belt was in appreciable amount, the fungal spore concentration overweight it.
