Abstract
The local environment of aluminium in Al-substituted calcium silicate hydrate phases in cement pastes has been determined by measurement and modelling Al K-ELNES. The results are in agreement with bulk Al-27 an d Si-29 MAS NMR data and predictions derived from compositional trends .
