J. Dembczynski et al., STERNHEIMER FREE DETERMINATION OF THE CO-59 NUCLEAR-QUADRUPOLE MOMENTFROM HYPERFINE-STRUCTURE MEASUREMENTS, Physical review. A, 48(4), 1993, pp. 2752-2761
Taking into account results of earlier hyperfine-structure (hfs) measu
rements, the hfs of altogether 20 fine-structure (fs) levels has been
analyzed by the simultaneous parametrization of the one- and two-body
interactions in the atomic hfs for the model space (3d + 4s)N+2 (N = 7
). The values of the one- and two-body hfs parameters have been determ
ined. The evaluation of the nuclear quadrupole moment of Co-59 includi
ng Sternheimer corrections up to second order yielded the value of 0.4
1(1) b. Moreover, the values of the magnetic-dipole constants A and th
e electric-quadrupole constants B for all levels of the model space (3
d + 4s)9 have been predicted.
