Abstract
We show that the anisotropy of the photon excited Ar 2p3/2(-1)ns reson ant Auger spectrum evolves smoothly into the anisotropy of the corresp onding normal L3MM Auger spectrum as the excitation energy is tuned ac ross the L3 ionization threshold. Our results show that the difference between the angular anisotropy parameters alpha2 of the resonant and normal Auger transitions becomes smaller than 10% around n greater tha n or similar to 14.
