Abstract
The equimolar reaction of beta-diketone (HL) containing triethylamine (Et3N) with silver nitrate (AgNO3) in a mixed solution of dry methanol (MeOH) and acetonitrile (CH3CN) leads to the formation of the followi ng pure beta-diketonatosilver complexes: acetylacetonatosilver Ag(acac ), benzoylacetonatosilver Ag(bzac), dibenzoylmethanatosilver Ag(dbzm), and bipivaloylmethanatosilver Ag(dpm). These silver complexes have be en characterized by elemental analyses and IR spectroscopy.
